Step-by-Step Guide

1. INSTALL WA MEDIA DOWNLOADER FROM CHROME WEB STORE

2. Open WhatsApp Web

Navigate to WhatsApp Web and log in by scanning the QR code with your phone. Once logged in, select the chat from which you want to download images. With latest version of the extension you can also not select a chat, the extension automatically will load all chats and then you will be able to select one of them from the drop down menu.

3. SELECT THE CHAT OR GROUP

From the drop down menu select the chat or the group. If you do now see them, reload the whatsapp web page and then try again or click on UPDATE CHAT on the extension.

4. Select the media to download

Defautly all media formats are selected: images, video, audio and documents.

5. Start the Download Process

  1. In the popup, you will see a button labeled “Download”. Click this button to initiate the download process.
  2. The extension will begin to scan the chat for media files and start downloading them automatically. At the bottom of the extension you will see logs that show the process.

6. Monitor Download Progress

As media files (images, audio, documents and video) are being downloaded, you will see a download counter in the popup indicating how many images have been successfully downloaded. The extension allows a maximum of 25 downloads at a time to ensure smooth performance.

7. Handling Download Limits

If you reach the maximum download limit of 25 images, a message will appear stating “Download limit of FREE VERSION reached.” At this point, the extension will stop downloading. However, if you want to continue downloading images, you can visit our website for more options and potentially upgrade to a premium version that allows for unlimited downloads.

8. Check Your Downloads

After the download process is complete, check your computer’s downloads folder to find all the images. They will be saved in their original quality, ready for you to view or share.

9. Enjoy Your Images!

Now you have all the images from your WhatsApp chat downloaded and saved on your device! Feel free to organize them or create albums to preserve those precious memories.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the download process, here are a few tips to troubleshoot:

  • Ensure that the extension is properly installed and active.
  • Make sure you are logged into WhatsApp Web.

Install the Extension Manually (optional)

Then:

  1. Open Google Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions in the address bar.
  2. Enable Developer mode by toggling the switch in the upper right corner.

  4. Select the folder where the extension files are located. The extension should now appear in your list of installed extensions.
